Richmond Public Library 2012 Wish List

Do you have a wish?  We at the Richmond Public Library have several wishes.  Our Friends and Foundation give us tremendous help, but there are always more wishes than those that are granted.  We don't make wishes for ourselves, only for the community.  Below is a current list of wishes from our staff.  If you have the capacity to grant a wish call the Foundation office at 804.646.5511 or email Amy Bridge, Executive Director of the Foundation, at amy.bridge@richmondgov.com.
 
1. Ten Laptop Computers for programs, computer tutorials, Homework Help, Literacy Outreach
Price: $1,100 per Laptop
 
2. New, quality preschool picture books to develop Literacy Outreach rotating collections for day-cares
Price: $200 per rotating collection
 
3. 50 copies of "The Neighborhood Mother Goose" by Nina Crews to distribute to families at parenting workshops (contemporary tales with urban setting and children)
Price: $850
 

4. Supplies for Storytimes, children's programs, and after-school activities:

crayons, color paper, foam board, scissors, markers, color pencils, stickers, puzzles, colored pocket folders, note pads
Price: $100
 
5. Supplies for Community Activity Rooms:
Children's ABC rug - $100, Childrens furniture- $1,000, Wall paint - $10
