Books, sound recordings, scores, pictures, CDs, video tapes, books on CD and cassette, and DVDs are available for lending to registered borrowers. All material that circulates may be borrowed for two weeks. Items not in demand may be renewed up to four times, for two weeks each time.
A total of 20 items may be checked out to a card at one time, including no more than 6 CDs, videos and/or DVDs. The first time you check material out, you are limited to two items.
Fines for all items are .10 per item per day that they are overdue.
Book drop boxes for returning material after hours are located at the Main, Belmont, Broad Rock, Ginter Park, West End and Westover Hills libraries.
For your convenience, materials may be renewed by phoning your local branch or 646-4531. Before dialing, please have your library card ready.

You may also place items on hold. Holds can be used to ship an item from one library location to another, or to save an item for you if it is currently checked out. Holds may be placed online through the library's iBistro Online Catalog, or by calling or visiting your local branch.
Your account also has a feature that lets you keep track of your favorite authors and subjects. After you've logged in, go to My Profile and check the box that says "I want all authors and subjects of items I check out be counted automatically as My Favorites." When you return to the homepage of our online catalog, you'll be able to view the authors and subjects that you check out the most frequently.
